ABOUT YOGA


Yoga is the path of self-awareness, which helps to develop the ability of inner focus and a sense of subtle body. Practicing yoga regularly contributes to a general balance between the body, mind and the spirit.

The word Yoga according to Patanjali (from about 2500 years ago), means to control and to quiet the thoughts.
During the yoga classes we deal with the strengthening of the body, releasing stress, relaxation and breathing exercises.
In the beginning, you should practice each exercise only if it feels comfortable, and while you still feel good in it.
The tension can be gradually increased from lesson to lesson as the muscles become more flexible and stronger.
Practicing yoga regularly helps eliminates stress.
Simple exercises help resolve tensions through relaxation, and regulate nervous activity by a combination of breathing and focus exercises.
It also improves posture, stamina and concentration, strengthens and stretches the muscles, rejuvenates, massages the internal organs, balances blood circulation and the hormonal balance, while harmonizing the body's energy flow.
Last but not least it helps to detoxicate the body, lose weight and to get rid of cellulite by burning fat and stimulating the blood circulation system and the lymphatic circulation. After acquiring the yoga breathing and posture techniques it is also possible to learn to discipline and control thoughts, emotions, focus and the functioning of internal organs.

I recommend everybody try yoga. It is a life style that is thousands of years old and will help improve well-being and to maintain a good health!
